由于交通工具的进步与通讯手段的发展,使得不同国家、不同种族、不同民族的人能够频繁地接触和交往。因此,就显得尤为重要。笔者对如何培养商务英语学生的跨文化意识提出了自己的看法和建议,具有一定的参考价值。21世纪是信息技术和交通技术高速发展的时代。随着各国经济、政治、文化间的交流日益频繁,空间距离逐渐缩短,20世纪初需要几个月才能从我国的上海到达美国的洛杉矶,而今天却只需要十几个小时。电话的普及使得一般信函的数量不断减少。卫星转播电视节目使得全世界的人们可以同时观看世界杯足球赛。随之而来的是地球村的出现。空间距离的缩短理应导致人们心理距离的缩短,但与之相反,地球村的村民们,却因文化差异造成的交际失误、矛盾和冲突、价值观念上的巨大的隔阂使人们心理距离加大。培养对文化差异的敏感性,缩短文化距离、提高人们跨文化交际的能力,已经成为新时代的迫切要求。在一批著名专家和教授的引导下,对跨文化交际理论和实践的研究得到越来越多人们的重视和参与。在借鉴和学习国外跨文化交际研究成果的基础上,我国学者多方位、多角度地探索和开发符合中国实际的跨文化交际研究的途径,开创了跨文化交际初步繁荣的研究局面。应该说,商务英语教师是跨文化知识传播的主力军。学习外语的过程,实际上也是文化交流的过程。而过去的外语教学恰恰忽略了这一点。在新的历史时期,越来越多的教师认识到:跨文化交际能力的培养应当成为外语教学的重要内容。近几年来,许多有关研究成果问世。但有关论著,多是探讨语言和文化的关系和跨文化交际和外语教学的理论框架。研究外语教学与文化关系的多是论文,分布比较,查找起来不大方便。把跨文化交际的理论与外语教学的实践结合起来,旨在解决一些教师和学生在教与学中遇到的语言差异、文化差异、思维差异和由此引起的语用失误等问题。让外语学习者了解中西方文化在语言和非语言等各方面的不同,培养大学生的综合素质和跨文化交际的能力。1 跨文化交际能力与商务英语学习的关系语言与文化有着密切的关系。由于语言的产生和发展,人类文化才得以产生和传承。不存在没有语言的文化,也不存在没有文化的语言。广义的文化包括语言,同时文化又无时无刻不在影响语言,使语言为了适应文化发展变化的需要而变得更加精确和缜密。同样的道理,在中国的市场更加深入地融入到国际经济社会之中时,国内人才市场由于大批外资公司的登陆,跨文化交际愈加频繁,对商务英语的人才的需求也愈来愈大,因此对于商务英语学习与跨文化交际能力相结合的呼声也越来越高。1 提高跨文化交流技巧,深化《商务英语》教学改革根据以上跨文化交际中存在的大量问题及现象,老师在讲《商务英语》课的时候,不应该照本宣科,必须对《商务英语》的教学内容和方式进行改革;引进网络教学,培养学生跨文化管理意识。同时要积极培养学生积极进行逻辑思维的能力。英语阅读理解需要逻辑思维,听力同样需要逻辑思维,如果学生没有根据上下文进行积极的逻辑思维,只是听音而没有会意。那就容易出现困难或错误。例如:误:Shanghai will be winter and it stemperature will go down to 22 正:Shanghai will be windy and it stemperature will go do wnto 22 上句中听错的windy并不是生词,但学生听错了,如果根据下句的 “气温将降至22度”进行逻辑思维的话,则显然是“windy”而不是“winter”,因为冬天的平均气温不可能达到22度。因此培养学生根据文章大意、英美习俗、语法结构等进行有效的逻辑思维的能力,是很重要的。2 文化教学要贯穿于交际性语言教学的始终商务英语教学中跨文化意识的培养,是正确处理语言教学与文化教学关系的重要因素,讨论跨文化交际的能力问题是以跨文化交际意识为前提的。培养跨文化交际意识,实际上是要建立一种现代外语教学的新理念。高素质人才的培养,需要有新的教学内容,新的教学方法和教育理念作为支持和保障,否则,培养目标的实现只能是一句空话。3 商务英语教学的过程应该是学生系统地了解不同文化的差异和渗透的过程以开明的态度,让学生从不同的视角看待和处理因文化的异同面引起的世界观的不同与相同,才能在经济和文化全球化的今天,运用语言更好地交流沟通,让语言为社会服务。同时,鼓励学生合作学习,不仅可以使学习困难的学生得到其他同学的帮助和指导,还有利于提高全体学生的素质。
