摘要:幽默的语言可以使知识变得浅显易懂;幽默的语言可以使人精神放松,使课堂气氛和谐。教师恰当地运用幽默,可以活跃课堂气氛,有助于学生产生愉悦的情绪,较容易地接受知识,让师生共同步入一个相容有趣的教学世界,当然也有利于增进师生间的感情。 关键词:幽默 魅力 活跃 课堂气氛 课堂教学 在日常生活中,我们看到一些相声小品,就会发出来自内心的笑;在看一些报刊杂志时,也经常可以看到使人身心得到愉悦的幽默笑话。幽默以愉悦的方式表达真诚,大方和善良,它像一座桥梁一样拉近人与人之间的距离。幽默通过轻松诙谐的言语,意蕴丰富的笑声,营造和谐快乐的气氛。 在日常生活中少不了幽默,作为一位英语教师,在平时的课堂教学中,更少不了幽默。前苏联教育家斯维特洛夫曾说过:“教育家最重要的,也是第一位的助手是幽默。”幽默的语言可以使知识变得浅显易懂;幽默的语言可以使人精神放松,使课堂气氛和谐。富有幽默感的老师使学生感到和蔼可亲,非常受学生欢迎。教师恰当地运用幽默,可以活跃课堂气氛,有助于学生产生愉悦的情绪,较容易地接受知识,也有利于增进师生间的感情。当幽默营造出一种热烈的气氛时,不但学生乐于听课,而且会发生“共振”效应,老师的水平也能超常发挥,取得极好的效果。笔者在平时的英语教学中,深切体会到在教学中恰当地运用幽默,能给教学带来非常良好的效果。 一、“关照”问题学生,活跃课堂气氛 班中有一学生Bob,因身体原因,容易犯困睡觉。有一次,他刚眯起眼睛想睡,我唱起了一首“Are you sleeping?”的歌。学生们一看老师唱歌,也高兴地跟着唱起来。他们随着我的眼光望去,才恍然大悟:原来班里的他又到了“那个时刻”,大家都会心地笑了。那个同学似乎也觉察到了,打起精神听我讲课了。我的催“眠”曲变成了催“醒”曲。用这种幽默的方式提醒听课不专心的学生,既使学生自觉意识到了错误,又保护了学生的自尊心,也因这个“小插曲”而活跃了课堂气氛。正如德国演讲家海因雷曼麦所说:“用幽默的方式说出严肃的真理,比直截了当提出更能被人接受。” 二、警示违纪学生,拓展教学内容 一次,学生Jane侧身跟同桌Mike讲空话。我做了一个让大家静下来听的动作,并动情地说:“Please listen to Jane,she has thousands of words to tell MAnd I think she would like to tell Mr Wu after Yes or no,Jane?”并着重解释了thousands of 学生听罢,哈哈笑起来。此时,Jane和Mike停下来听我讲课了。此时,我想何不教他们thousands of words这一课外短语呢?我说,我们经常听到这样一首歌“千言万语抵不过一句话……”这个“千言万语”就可以用thousands of 举个例子:妈妈,我今天有千言万语要跟你说。Mom,I have thousands of words to tell you 学生感到很新鲜,立刻进行默记。在这件事上,我没有直接训斥讲话的学生,而是避重就轻请他们在课后把话讲给老师听。作为教师也瞬时迸发出教学灵感,通过用这种幽默,教授一个课外知识点thousands of words(千言万语),学生印象深刻,也更容易接受和掌握。 三、 激活学生思维,推进课堂教学在一堂课上,学生正在低头思考问题。忽然,从窗外飞来一只蜜蜂, “啪”地撞在玻璃窗上,蜜蜂便“横冲直撞”,好像是在进行高难度的“飞行表演”。许多学生都在观看这颗蜜蜂的“表演”了。我见此状便调侃道:“大家被这颗蜜蜂吸引住了。吴老师的魅力还敌不过一颗小小的蜜蜂,对吧?”一阵笑声之后,我借“蜂”发挥,我问学生:“Why does this bee fly into our classroom?”这下,学生们把手举得高高的争着回答,一扫刚才思考问题时的沉闷气氛。有的说“He wants to have a ” 有的说“He wants to see our beautiful ” 有的说“He wants to be our ”我最后说大家的回答都非常好,其实,那只蜜蜂早在窗外观察大家,它见大家迟迟没有回答问题,情急之下飞了进来,想告诉大家(用蜜蜂的口吻):Come on,come on , boys and Please think over and answer Mr Wu’s question 学生们的笑声再一次活跃了课堂气氛。 我们在上课过程中经常遇到这样的情况:当班级中某同学发生什么事或有人从教室门外走过,总有学生要分散注意力。在本节课中,一只蜜蜂分散了学生的注意力,但教师的课堂教学并没有受影响,而是巧妙地利用了这只蜜蜂,积极引导学生思考为什么会飞进来。这既培养了学生的发散性思维,使学生以积极思考的精神状态听好课,又较好地调动了课堂气氛。在教学中运用幽默来解决突发事件,既能保持教师的权威,又不至于使学生陷入难堪的地步,化被动为主动,不仅不会使偶发事件干扰教学秩序的正常运行,反而使它运行地更加稳健灵活。教师只要不失时机地引用一些幽默,让学生在笑声中不知不觉地身心得到放松,重新集中注意力,以兴奋的精神状态重新投入到课堂中来。 四、巧妙激励学生,改变学生性格 一次,课堂上组织一个英语短剧表演。表演内容是同学们最熟悉最喜欢的唐僧、孙悟空、猪八戒、沙僧师徒四人上花果山采摘水果。同学们很快分好了角色。其中一个组有三人争着要上台表演,就只有Tom红着脸不敢上台。Tom英语综合水平不错,只是比较内向,胆子有点小。我想今天一定要让他亮亮相。我问了他安排的是什么角色。他告诉我是沙僧。我突然做了个孙悟空的动作,并用孙悟空的口吻说:“沙师弟,Come here!I will help you !”我边说边做沙僧挑担的动作,逗得同学们哈哈大笑,Tom笑着并走上了讲台,他做起挑“重担”的动作,酷似电视剧里的沙僧。惟妙惟肖的表演博得了同学们的掌声。有了这次初试的成功,他上台表演的次数多了,胆子渐渐变大了,也逐渐改变了内向的性格。 一个班级就像一个大熔炉,有活泼好动的学生,也有内向文静的学生。教师幽默的言行举止往往更能“挑逗”这些性格内向的学生,激发他们的表现欲,进而改变内向学生的性格。 五、拉近师生间距离,加深师生间感情 教师通过教学幽默,可以让学生领略到教师所具有的丰富多彩的个性和精神世界,使他们觉得站在他们面前的不只是一个可敬畏的“教师”,而且是一个风趣可亲的“朋友”。和谐幽默的气氛可使师生之间关系更加密切,有利于情感交流,共同步入一个相容有趣的教学世界。我深刻体会到了这一点。笔者从学生们写的周记中看到:我们的吴老师上课太幽默了,感到很轻松,总觉得一会儿就下课了;我以前一点也不喜欢英语,现在最喜欢的课是英语课了,大家感到很愉快,而没有压抑感;吴老师小时候一定看过很多幽默书,所以才变得幽默风趣;吴老师常常用幽默风趣的语言、动作逗得我们哈哈大笑,我每次都盼着上英语课……孩子们字里行间流露出对一位充满幽默感的老师的敬佩与崇拜之情。当然,教师与学生之间的感情也变得更加深厚。 恰当地运用幽默能产生这么大效果,那我们如何培养幽默感呢?幽默固然有赖于知识的丰富,思维的敏捷,口语的畅达,但重要的是要有融融的爱心,博大的胸怀,乐观的情绪,爽朗的性格。如果说幽默是智慧、知识、经验等在语言运用中的结晶的话,那么幽默感就是一个人综合素质的集中体现。幽默感的构成,包括思维的机智灵活、知识的广博丰富、心理的健康通达和言语表达的娴熟自如等方面。幽默感的培养,可以从两个方面入手,即基本素质和表达习惯。 (一)首先要从基本素质的养成上做起: 1、要有健全成熟的人格。要养成开阔的胸襟、豁达的心境、开朗的性格、潇洒的人生态度和较强的自我控制能力。只有具备这些基本素质,才能做到心胸坦荡,热情亲切与人为善,通过幽默的话语把温厚和和善意带给他人,才能在各种情况下表现出自信和镇定,做到风趣洒脱,妙语连珠。作为教师,尤其需要这些素质,才能用幽默的语言拉近学生的心,在学生中树立好的形象。 2、要有学识阅历的积累。幽默不仅需要文化知识的积累,还需要社会经验的积累,还需要明白在何种语境下该说什么话。教师说的幽默,应该起到激励学生,调节气氛的作用,而不是伤害学生。 3、要有机智应变的能力。幽默的思路总是飘然而至,幽默的谈吐都具有抓住契机、反应迅速的能力。因而需要教师善于把握机会,适实适地的“幽”它一“默”。 (二)表达习惯的培养。幽默感的最终体现,涉及幽默话语表达的方式方法问题: 1、要含蓄温和。在表达幽默言语时,既不能浅薄直露,庸俗粗野,也不能伤害到别人。它讲究寓深远于平淡,藏锋芒于微笑。 2、要恰当有度。所有有效的言语活动都要切合特定的语境。幽默话语尤其要重视这一点,因为幽默对话语跟语境的有机联系要求更高。幽默言语表达要做到恰当有度。培养幽默语言表达习惯的要领很多,关键还是要在教学实践中不断琢磨,细心体会,从而慢慢养成富有幽默感的言语表达习惯。 幽默能产生很大的魅力,但我们在运用过程中仍然要注意以下几点: 1、幽默要恰当。幽默言语表达要做到恰当。首先是不能滥用幽默。幽默是画龙点睛的东西,是语言的调味品,要充分显示它的作用,就要用得少而精。可以想象,如果一个人连续没完没了地说幽默话,那最好的幽默也会黯然失色,而且还会产生厌恶之情。在课堂教学中运用幽默语言,要切合教学内容,而不应当随便运用与教学无关的幽默语,对教学活动打岔,使学生分心,虽然活跃了课堂气氛,却是为乐而乐。其次是要注意场合和对象。不分场合和对象的幽默,不但不会起到调节气氛的作用,反而会起到适得其反的效果。三是文明健康的言语文明的习惯,杜绝低级趣味、格调低下的幽默。 2、幽默要适度,不要为幽默而幽默,幽默多了或很牵强的幽默,会使课堂环境变得松散随便,正常的上课次序很难控制。在学生的眼里,你是一个很不严肃或没有威严的老师。因此,适度的幽默才是紧张、枯燥、乏味的课堂环境的施缓剂、减压剂。身为师者,必须得到并保持学生对你的尊敬,懂得如何应用幽默,懂得什么时候该调节气氛对你的上课将很有帮助。 作为一名英语教师,在平时的课堂教学中恰如其分地运用幽默,不但有利于创设和谐的教学情境,调节教与学的关系,更有利于课堂教学在和谐的状态下顺利完成,从而取得良好的教学效果。让我们的教师同行们多一点幽默,多给学生一点幽默,让我们的英语课堂充满幽默的魅力!
