Abstract Purpose Aiming to get the pathogenesis features and patterns of pneumoconiosis in Longkou City， to build up a city-wide pneumoconiosis cases database， and to provide scientific backing for pneumoconiosis prevention and Methods With the reference of the registration data over the years， analyse epidemiological characteristics of pneumoconiosis in Longkou basing on Results 1) In Longkou City， most pneumoconiosis cases are one-staged and mostly are silicosis and coal worker's pneumoconiosis 2) Male patients take up a lagre portion than female 3) Patients with pneumoconiosis vary from industries to industries， and coal and metallurgical， these two industries patients are much more than others 4) The age of newly diagnosed pneumoconiosis patients are range from 41 to 60， while a large sun of them have been dealing with coalmining more than ten years 5) The rate of pneumoconiosis combined with tuberculosis is 34% Conclusions Longkou City should emphasize on one-staged silicosis as the key point of prevention and To strengthen the occupational health supervision， such as coal and metallurgical And to improve the dust-proofing facilities and individual protection consciousness， effectively take control and prevent the cases of
